A nice article I came across... should help for busting stress. Have a look at it here.
Being an avid reader of articles on relationships, couldn't resist sharing this article I read on yahoo...
Here's a snippet:
If you want to protect your relationship from infidelity, you must first protect your relationship from the silent killers - jealousy, bitterness, low self-esteem, and mistrust. The only way to do this is through honest communication. Reveal your true emotions and needs to your partner and encourage him to do the same.
Do read the rest of it here.
"Ask yourself whether you are keeping them in your life because they bring out the best in you -- or because you're used to having them around. Once you face that question and answer it honestly, you won't have to worry about having doubts about friendships ever again"
(A piece of advice I got regarding friends in one's life...)
• I've learned that we don't have to change friends if we understand that friends change.
• I've learned that no matter how good a friend is, they're going to hurt you every once in a while and you must forgive them for that.
• I've learned that true friendship continues to grow, even over the longest distance. The same goes for true love.
• I've learned that you can do something in an instant that will give you heartache for life.
• I've learned that it's taking me a long time to become the person I want to be.
• I've learned that you should always leave loved ones with loving words. It may be the last time you see them.
• I've learned that you can keep going long after you can't.
• I've learned that we are responsible for what we do, no matter how we feel.
• I've learned that either you control your attitude or it controls you.
• I've learned that regardless of how hot and steamy a relationship is at first, the passion fades and there had better be something else to take its place.
• I've learned that heroes are the people who do what has to be done when it needs to be done, regardless of the consequences.
• I've learned that money is a lousy way of keeping score.
• I've learned that my best friend and I can do anything or nothing and have the best time.
• I've learned that sometimes the people you expect to kick you when you're down, will be the ones to help you get back up.
• I've learned that sometimes when I'm angry I have the right to be angry, but that doesn't give me the right to be cruel.
• I've learned that just because someone doesn't love you the way you want them to doesn't mean they don't love you with all they have.
• I've learned that maturity has more to do with what types of experiences you've had and what you've learned from them, and less to do with how many years you have lived.
• I've learned that it isn't always enough to be forgiven by others. Sometimes you have to learn to forgive yourself.
• I've learned that no matter how bad your heart is broken the world doesn't stop.
(A forward...)

1. It tells you that everything you do will always leave a Mark
2. You can always correct the mistake you make
3. The important thing in life is what you are from inside and not from out side
4. In life you will undergo painful sharpenings which will make you better in whatever you do
5. Finally, to be the best you can be, you must allow yourself to be held and guided by the hand that holds you
(A forward my friend sent long back...)
Forget about the days when it has been cloudy
But don't forget your hours in the sun,
Forget about the times you have been defeated
But don't forget the victories you have won.
Forget about mistakes that you can't change now
But don't forget the lessons you have learned,
Forget about the misfortunes you have encountered
But don't forget the times your luck has turned.
Forget about the days when you have been lonely
But don't forget the friendly smiles you have seen,
Forget about the plans that didn't seem to work out right
But don't forget to always have a dream!

(A poem I always loved; read in a greeting card I gave to a friend in college...)
If there is a future there is time for mending,
Time to see your troubles coming to an ending.
Life is never hopeless however great your sorrow,
If you're looking forward to a new tomorrow.
If there is time for wishing then there is time for hoping,
When through doubt and darkness you are blindly groping.
Though the heart be heavy and hurt you may be feeling,
If there is time for praying there is time for healing.
So if through your window there is a new day breaking,
Thank God for the promise, though mind and soul be aching,
If with harvest over there is grain enough for gleaning,
There is a new tomorrow and life still has meaning.

(Something a friend pasted to me on chat...)
The strength of a man isn't seen in the width of his shoulders.
It's seen in the width of his arms that circle you.
The strength of a man isn't in the deep tone of his voice.
It's in the gentle words he whispers.
The strength of a man isn't how many buddies he has.
It's how good a buddy he is with his kids.
The strength of a man isn't in how respected he is at work.
It's in how respected he is at home.
The strength of a man isn't in how hard he hits.
It's in how tender he touches.
The strength of a man isn't in the hair on his chest.
It's in his Heart... that lies within his chest.
The strength of a man isn't how many women he's loved.
It's in how he can be true to one woman.
The strength of a man isn't in the weight he can lift.
It's in the burdens he can carry.
(A forward I received few days back...)
Never take some one for granted. Hold every person close to your heart because you might wake up one day and realise that you have lost a diamond while you were too busy collecting stones.
(Part of a fwd a friend sent...)
"... I wanted to know why we as a culture, wait until somebody has passed away before we tell them how much we love them? Why do we wait until someone's ears can't hear before we let them how much they mean to us? Why do we wait until it is too late before we recall the good qualities of a person? Why do we build someone up after they have gone into eternity? What good does it do then! We share memory after memory, as we laugh, cry, and think back about what was positive in a person's life. Yes, it does help us cope with the grief of losing someone that was special to us. And yes it does bring those who are coping, closer together. But as we lovingly remember this person, our words fall short of the ears that most needed to hear them.
Just once I would like to see a celebration of life, instead of a gathering of death...
... Do you love someone? Then tell them! Has someone been an influence in your life? Then give them a call! Has someone made a difference in your life? Then write them a letter or send them an email! Don't let another day go by without letting that person know. There is something special about a written letter that expresses feelings of love towards another. I don't know about you, but I have letters and cards from people that I have saved for years, and from time to time, I get them out and reread them. They can turn a depressing day into one where you realize just how blessed and loved you are.
Life is too short to leave kind words unsaid. The words you say, or the letter you write, might just make all the difference in the world."
(an extract from one of those Inspirational stories - 'Celebration of Life' by Michael T. Powers)
• Take time to heal and don’t make impulsive decisions while you’re feeling sad
• If you have a pattern for choosing the wrong guy or girl all the time, redefine what you want in a man or woman so that you don’t fall into the same vicious circle time and again
• Evaluate your past relationships and see them for what they were and look at each experience with truth and honesty. You will discover several things that you would want to change both about yourself and your emotional needs
• Participate in activities that will boost your confidence and make you feel good about being you
• Try not to get into the slump of feeling sorry for yourself. Hang out with your close friends and people who make you happy
• Make a list of things you expect from a relationship so that you have a clear understanding of what you really want
• Don’t ever forget that this too shall pass and that in time you will be happy and be able to love again.
(An extract from an article in Mumbai Mirror -- "The upside to heartbreaks")
When I born, I Black,
When I grow up, I Black,
When I go in Sun, I Black,
When I scared, I Black,
When I sick, I Black,
And when I die, I still black..
And you White fella,
When you born, you Pink,
When you grow up, you White,
When you go in Sun, you Red,
When you cold, you Blue,
When you scared, you Yellow,
When you sick, you Green,
And when you die, you Gray..
And you calling me Colored ??

"Happiness can be defined, in part atleast, as the fruit of the desire & ability to sacrifice what we want now for what we want eventually." -- Stephen Covey.
The world is a much more beautiful place when you choose to be beautiful yourself. Go out of your way to shine a positive light, and you'll like what life reflects back at you.
(part of a Good Morning mail that my friend sends to me everyday)
Letting go hurts. But staying, once you've decided the relationship is really over, means being buried alive. Face your decision with courage, kindness, and a galloping leap of faith. Joy is waiting.
